Firstly, Las Vegas is somewhere I never really wanted to go to, but Paul had been before and said that it is like “Disneyland for adults”. And so my arm was twisted. And so it is! You must go. Just a few days will do it and one of the best places to stay is definitely The Bellagio Hotel.
One of the big hotels on the main Vegas strip (actually they’re all larger than life, but from memory this one has over 2,000 rooms), The Bellagio also has the fantastic fountains show out the front that you can see from your room (with the choreographed music piped into your room).
One of the Cirque du Soleil shows called “O” is also performed nightly in a purpose built $50m theatre from within The Bellagio as well. This is a “must see” event in Vegas. The “O” stands for “water” and the entire stage turns into a pool…and then into a stage…then into a pool etc. Simply amazing.
While you’re in Vegas take a helicopter flight to the Grand Canyon. it was simply spectacular, flying over the Hoover Dam and landing in the Grand Canyon for lunch.
* * * * Huge Hotel. Great service. Awesome location.
