Sabeen @ The Haven, Bali

Dropped in here for a quick drink and bite to eat one night before heading to the airport. What a surprise! For fans of Poppies restaurant in Kuta, this place had very similar food, without the travel, plus you could sit at the front of the restaurant and people watch from the comfy couches.

I had the chicken and beef satays and it came out on the little charcoal cooker just like they do at Poppies. The satay sauce had a real bite to it too. Partner had a Nasi Goreng and it too was just like the one we had had at Poppies several nights before.

Cocktail list was good and drinks were reasonably priced. Service was excellent, with warm bread rolls and olive oil brought out before meal without even requesting them. A nice touch.

If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat any night, then The Haven in Seminyak (just down from Bintang Supermarket towards Kuta) is the go!

Haven’t stayed at the venue, but have done an inspection. The hotel rooms are the ok and clean for about $100 a night which is good for this area. But the suites and 2 bedroom villas are gorgeous. Would love to stay in one of the 2 bedroom villas.
