This just has to be the nicest places to stay on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. If you like clean lines, modern contemporary and “white”.
Angelina is located in Praiano which is about 2km out of Positano which gives you the best of both worlds. Great views across the bay to Positano day and night, yet close enough to visit with Casa Angelina’s free shuttle bus there and back until around 11pm daily.
From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable. Check in was easy, followed by an extensive tour of the facilities including comprehensive gym with indoor spa pool.
The tour concluded at our room with another comprehensive explanation of how everything worked including Bang & Olofson tv, gentle aircon system Nespresso machine and lighting.
The day areas of Casa Angelina are inviting and gorgeous to lounge around in. Outside there is a gorgeous pool with sun beds and an outdoor restaurant. On level 4 is the dining restaurant that we chose for our first night. We ordered two courses, but we experienced about 7 all up by the time we left with palette cleansers/taste sensations in between. It was exquisite. There were 8 wait staff for 17 diners.
Wifi was clearly the easiest in Europe to use and was the fastest as well.
The care and attention to detail that has been taken putting this place together (opened in 2009) is outstanding and the owners should be very proud. Not one detail has gone in noticed by this traveller. Even the in room booklets are impeccable.
