The reason we booked this hotel was location, location, location. There are nicer hotels in the area but this is right on the water front.
The staff were fantastic. Better than most five star hotels. The lady checking us in was so helpful with information regarding parking and surrounding areas. Every time we asked a question they would always look up information and then print it off for you.
The room itself was basic. Lets face it, it’s a three star establishment, but in saying that it was spotlessly clean. We were upgraded to a two bedroom room with views of the lake on the side and facing the street.
We were located on the fourth floor so had easy access to the terrace roof top which had tables, chairs and sun lounges plus the best view of Lake Como.
One of the best features of our room was the air conditioning, it was so quiet, individual controls that kept the room at the desired temperature. I had read that numerous hotels don’t have individual air conditioning controls, or just fans which is something to watch out for. It was very hot whilst we were there and you needed air conditioning day and night
For the price you pay at other hotels the Metropole Bellagio is great value.
