We’ve stayed at Downtown Villas regularly over the years. It almost feels like home to us. Although we’ve never stayed in the one bedroom villas, always the 2 or 3 bedroom villas, which have an amazing 25 metre pool, that sometimes feels a bit too deep, but always refreshing. The pool is in part of the backyard that also hosts a daybed under cover.
They keep the villas fairly well maintained. Beds are comfy, bedrooms are huge and individually air-conditioned. Bathrooms are very functional with shower (and a common bath that can be shared between the two bathrooms) but could do with an update. The kitchen also works, but could do with an update.
The villas are well furnished and the entire ground floor living space (one side of the stairs is dining, the other is lounge) can be opened up with bi-fold doors into the huge backyard, or it can be closed off away form pesky mossies at night and kept cool with the two wall mounted air-conditioners.
The best ting about Downtown Villas is the size of the living space both indoor and outdoor. It’s like having your own house in Bali. It’s close to central Seminyak, just down a lane opposite Bintang Supermarket. The staff are great. There is a crap gym as part of the complex just near reception. 24 hour security.
