Our stay at So Singapore (the Sofitel) was awesome. Plus it's right next to Lau Pa Sat which comes alive from dusk with many satay huts taking over the street that gets blocked off. You can get a great meal of satays and beer out here for very little cost.
This hotel has a beautiful roof top swimming pool and bar that you can relax in looking straight out at the skyline of Singapore (as per my pic below). The hotel is quite eclectic in taste. The Sofitel So Singapre is in a heritage building. It's a luxury boutique hotel where timeless French elegance blends with modern Singapore chic.
