Great location great price but there's a BUT! I have to start off by saying I love the hotel for location, price, size of the room, but this hotel could be so much better.

The location... It's great on Eat Street surrounded by great restaurants, beach clubs and bars all within walking distance. The room is also great. Larger than most. The layout is good. The bed was too hard for me but they tried to soften it with a mattress topper, but the room had a great look and feel. However the hotel needs to stay on top of maintenance - it's just over a year old and shouldn't be looking like it is. The mirrors are showing deterioration black spot marks, the bathroom tiles need a good clean. The shower is great - it's huge. Some days you had a turn down service and others you didn't, and the cleaning was a bit hit and miss as well. I LOVED the pool area, however the hotel as a card system where you take the card with you every time to get a towel and you are only allowed one towel each. The worst part is most days after 3pm roughly they ran out of towels! On the first day they said they would have towels in 10 minutes maybe! Maybe being the critical word, so went for a swim with no towel, staying in the pool waiting for them to show up, asking the staff for towels every 15 minutes when eventually we got out and had to lay on the sun lounges with no towels to dry off. The music around the pool was also annoying and needs to change to more of a chillout feel. The Alibi Bar on the street level is a stunning venue inside, however totally wasted. The outside needs a different feel, furniture and staff interaction to make it work, but the biggest change that it needs now to get people there is to change the music. It's awful, loud, and once again, the wrong selection. Playing recorded live acts isn't good, get a cool DJ from 4pm playing chilled music (maybe replayed on the rooftop pool) that will attract people from the street and be somewhere they can talk and enjoy the drinks. The two biggest areas needing attention is staff training and availability of management. The staff are nice but they need training. Would I stay here again? Yes, it's a great location and has nice rooms and a nice pool on the rooftop. They just need to do more with it all.

* * * * * Good value. Lots of potential.
