Spend an hour and a half having the hot stone massage at Away Spa @ W Retreat and Spa in Bali.
The facilities at this spa are nothing short of amazing. From the coded lock on your change room cupboard right through to the spacious consult rooms, which are called “stages”.
Once you work out how to put the silk gown on, you are off on an amazing journey of your senses, relieving all tension and stress.
Massages at the W are expensive at 900,000 rupiah plus 21% tax (that’s about AUD$90) but it certainly was a luxurious experience and well worth it compared to the cost of massages in Australia and the expertise was comparable if not better than in Australia.
This spa open 24 hours a day do if you feel like one at 2am on your way home after a night out, they’ll be ready for you. The actual sit in spa, inside the change rooms also looks awesome. I was tempted to have a sit in there on my way back to change rooms after treatment, however I wasn’t sure whether I was allowed to. I found out later that this is free to use for hotel guests 24/7. I presume there was one located inside the female change rooms as well.
Weird thing was signing for (paying for) the massage before going in for the treatment. Just seemed strange.
